Most of us already use famous messaging apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, LINE, weChat and so and so forth. And now Google has joined the world of messaging app thru Google Allo. Google Allo allows you to send pictures, share some stickers, have a group chat, etc. But what makes Google Allo different from those?
Google introduces Google Allo at Google I/O 2016 as a smart messaging app that helps you say more and do more. It leverage other messaging app because of its features.
Respond using Smart Reply.
Google Allo make it easier to respond quickly. Using Smart Reply, you can keep the conversation moving with a single tap by suggesting text or emoji. Like for example, you can send a “yup” as a response to a friend asking “Are you on your way?” or it will give suggestion like “aww cute!” when a friend send you a photo of their pet. Google Allo will learn if you’re a “haha” or “lol” person. The more you use it, the more ”you” suggestions become.
Shout and whisper.
You can emphasize you’re text or your emoji by simply dragging the “send” button up or down.
Express yourself using photos, stickers and emoji.
You can express more of yourself by doodling on photos to show your inner artist.
Get help from Google Assistant
In Google Allo you are introduced to a preview edition of Google Assistant. You can check nearby restaurant or movie schedule using Google Assistant directly in your chat. You no longer need to leave a conversation with friends just to grab and address or share a video. Just add @google, and your Assistant is ready to help. And you can also have a chat one on one with your Assistant.
Be private using Incognito mode.
You can now send a message with end-to-end encryption. It also comes with expiring chats so you can control how long your messages will be available and private notifications to help keep your chats more discreet.
